These days we use navigation tools in so many ways that we can at times feel lost without them. I know I have learnt to rely on my satellite navigation in the car so much that the idea of having to search for an address and then using a book as I drive to a new destination seems cumbersome.
There is another thing to be said about this. The navigation system will offer more than one route to the desired destination. The initial information that we receive on the suggested time that each route would take to get us from A to B doesn't always hold true.
As we select a certain route, get on our way and find ourselves stuck in traffic, we don't simply give up on the idea of getting to our destination. It seems obvious - as we are able to see from the map - that there is always another way. The navigation system simply gives me a message "recalculating" as I go off the prescribed path or if it thinks a better route may now apply. It immidiately searches for and suggests the next best option.
It is the same with our life's goals and objectives. The logic we are accustomed to applying as we look to reach our goals does not always lead to the most direct path. There are really an infinite number of paths we could follow on our way to creating a change or achieving something meaningful to us.
While this is easy to understand, why then are there so many New Year resolutions given up on when the initial idea of how to achieve the goal becomes a challenge? From my experience it is because we put the focus on the how, the means of achieving it, rather than on the image of success we would love to create.
If you think this is just too simple to be the case, I beg you to think again, because it just may be the very reason that keeps you stuck on something, or why you have tried to and failed to accomplish some key goals in your life.
There is a way of discovering the absolute best way for us to get to our dreams. It is uniquely specific to the person holding the dream. And it is not the one that uses logic. Our awareness of the means of achieving any dream we have, is expanded when we learn to ask ourselves the right questions.
It has been said that the quality of life we build and live is determined by the quality of questions we ask of the Universe. This doesn't always relate to the big questions we only ask at major intersections of our lives. These questions are being asked in the mind of every individual every minute of every day.
Learning how to engage in this process creatively is the first step in creating the life you actually really want to be living.
So here is some initial guidance - start asking yourself what you would love in your life, rather than what you think you can create. If you do this with focus and open yourself to all that will want to emerge, you will start hearing and seeing possibilities that are life-giving, inspiring and uplifting. You will be actively aligning yourself with your life's purpose which will pave your way to continuing on the path to success.
If there are dreams you would love to bring to creation in your life, it really can be easier than you think. It is my pleasure to be working with many of you on this journey - if not you yet, I would love to help to show you how to make it a fun, enjoyable and energising process.
